As part of McDonald's 2005 Monopoly Game, you could win free food prizes. Burgers, breakfast meals, drinks, fries, you name it- you could win it. I had a few of these and was using them for lunch every day or two.

They expired on November 16th, and I realized that even if I ate three meals a day at McDonald's and brought two friends with me each time, I would still not be able to use them in time.

Each of these tickets is for a separate food product, and some of them are for whole meals.

These are the breakfast sandwiches I had left approximately one week before they were to expire- 42 of them.
I decided to start giving them away. I gave them to everyone. I carried them with me around Atlanta and when anyone asked me for change, I gave them the McDonald's coupons instead. Some of them were confused, but most were happy. I gave them to people at school, and I started going to McDonald's every day for the last week. Whenever I went to McDonald's I would dine in so that I could give them to other people inside. I was able to give away almost all of the McFlurry ice cream ones to people finishing up their meals. Sometimes people refused to take them, thinking it was a scam, but most were happy to accept.

I had given out many tickets during the week, but I still had many left the night before the last day. I had classes in the morning and wouldn't be able to do anything with the breakfast tickets, so I gave them to my dad to take to work. I was determined to give away everything I could by the end of the day, I didn't want all that free food to go to waste. So that night I went out to about 5 different McDonald's and gave them away to everyone I could find. I ate all the McDonald's I could stand to along the way. There were not enough people at the McDonald's to take all of the coupons so I had to expand my search. I went everywhere. Blockbuster, the liquor store, the grocery store, anywhere I could find people. No one was safe from my quest to deliver free fatty foods. It was getting late and I still had about 20 free items left. I went back to the last McDonalds and got 5 McFlurries to go. Then I talked to the manager and she agreed to let me leave the coupons with her and she would give them away to customers for the rest of the night. I'm sure that is a violation of some kind of McDonald's policy, but she was really nice about it.
The McDonald's Free Food Giveaway was a success. I didn't bother to weigh myself, but estimate that I gained 302 pounds. I also gave away over 100 McDonald's free food products in a very short period of time and I hope that I made some people happy.
